June 16 – 26: Tryst’s Restaurant Week Menu

The Restaurant Week menu at Tryst includes a choice of one of three drool-worthy appetizers. Baja Tacos bring a Mexican twist to fresh-caught mahi mahi, perfectly grilled and lovingly dressed in a gluten-free corn tortilla with guacamole, pickled red cabbage, cilantro and a burst of heat from hot pepper sauce. For a more European flair, choose the Gulf Shrimp & Pesto Flatbread. It tickles the senses with sweet charred pineapple, red onion & poblano pepper salsa that is just tingly enough to give a kick without packing too much heat, shaved parmesan reggiano, baby arugula and a gentle drizzling of aged balsamic. The contrasting flavors unite in harmony with every bite. Or go for something simple and hearty – the Cherry Smoked Baby Back Ribs. Slow-cooked to absolute perfection, the meat falls off the bone and the jai alai barbecue sauce that joins it will make you feel no shame in licking your fingers clean.

You’ll have to choose just one as part of your preset dining delight. And that goes for the entrées too. When it comes to pasta dishes, Tryst makes all pasta fresh in-house. You can truly taste the difference. One of the options on the Restaurant Week entrée menu is the Ricotta Cavatelli. Cavatelli literally means “little hollows” in Italian, making this pasta that resembles tiny little hot dog buns a perfect fit to trap in the exquisite white wine sauce, butternut squash, pesto, pine nuts, wilted spinach and parmesan reggiano. It’s a prime choice for a meat-free meal. On the other hand, if meat is your indulgence du jour, try the lovely Lemon Tarragon Chicken, with farm-to-table fresh adornments of artichokes, baby potatoes, sun dried tomato and asparagus. There’s the irresistible French-Style Croissant Doughnuts served in a stack of light and airy deliciousness, drizzled with crème anglaise and St. Germain triple berry coulis. House-made Panna Cotta, Italian custard served cold with ripe seasonal berries, provides a lighter yet no less tasty option. For a little more decadence, choose the Madagascar Vanilla Crème Brûlée with that signature top layer of burntish sugary caramel that you must crack through to get to the rich custard beneath. And for the ultimate decadent indulgence to end your evening at Tryst, try the Chocolate Lava Cake. Sinfully rich with a heavenly chocolate cake that oozes pure chocolate goodness, it is served with a scoop of house-made maple vanilla ice cream. Alternatively, you can also choose to end your meal with a nightcap in the form of a dessert cocktail.
